Op dinsdagen en donderdagen in augustus
Mijn goede vriend en favoriete danspartner Andrew komt naar Amsterdam! Na drie jaar in Buenos Aires gewoond en gewerkt te hebben als tangodanser/docent en yoga-leraar, reist hij nu door Europa.
In augustus bieden wij een serie intensieve workshops voor kleine groepen. In de lessen zal veel aandacht zijn voor techniek, improvisatie en muzikaliteit. Je kunt de workshops als een intensieve mini-cursus volgen, of meedoen met een losse les.

Special: de guided practica op donderdagavond! We diepen een thema uit door te experimenteren en improviseren. Ook mensen die niet meedoen met de lessen zijn welkom! Tip: wil je je plekje zeker stellen, meld je dan vantevoren aan. De ruimte is beperkt.
Over Andrew David Burt
Andrew has danced tango for over 9 years and teaching for 7, starting in Portland, Oregon, in the US and living the last 3 and a half years in Buenos Aires. In Buenos Aires he has performed in Villa Malcolm/Tangocool, Me Rio de la Plata, and the inauguration of el Indio's new milonga Tangolab, and has taught in La Catedral and Tango Brujo. He has spent time studying and dancing milonguero/center style, new and classic salon styles, nuevo style, and some escenario style tango dancing, focusing mostly on newer salon and nuevo the last several years. He also teaches yoga, and draws on this and some elements of contemporary dance in his tango. He played violin for many years before tango, which influences his sense of the music. His teaching is analytical and focused more on the why and how than on memorized rules. He is teaching in Moscow 1 month before coming to Amsterdam, then continuing his tour in Europe for several months before returning to Buenos Aires.
